The Problem with Perfectionism

Throughout this series, Pastor Chris has been teaching us to replace "almost truths" preached by culture with the truth. The whole truth, and nothing but the truth taught by Jesus.

Along the way, he has helped us see that the problem with "almost truths" is they they almost work. And the almost truth we are talking about today is no exception. In fact, it's an almost truth that is intended to solve a very real problem, and it almost works.

Remember the "almost truth" from Sunday? "Nobody expects you to be perfect. Because, ultimately, nobody is perfect. We're all just human and everybody makes mistakes..."

Except, there was one person, and He doesn't just expect us to be perfect, He commands it. This can seem impossible, until we realize that perfection is not a prize to achieve - it's a promise to receive.
