Forgotten Words

This Sunday Pastor Chris kicked off a new series "The Creed." This series is designed to help you build a life of faith on foundations that will last. What we believe about God shapes everything about us. When we look at the Apostles’ Creed, we find "Forgotten Words," a declaration that’s shaped the church for centuries. God is our perfect, almighty Father who loves, sees, cares, and pursues us.

Joy in Generosity

This past Sunday Pastor Chris brought a word that reminds us that God is seeking True Worshippers. God isn't seeking public speakers, entertaining stages, charismatic leaders, the best looking people, or those with the most Instagram followers. There are three things you need to be a true worshipper of God: awe, abandon, and intimacy. God is seeking true worshippers and you were made for this! The Problem with Perfectionism

Throughout this series, Pastor Chris has been teaching us to replace "almost truths" preached by culture with the truth. The whole truth, and nothing but the truth taught by Jesus.

Along the way, he has helped us see that the problem with "almost truths" is they they almost work. And the almost truth we are talking about today is no exception. In fact, it's an almost truth that is intended to solve a very real problem, and it almost works.

Remember the "almost truth" from Sunday? "Nobody expects you to be perfect. Because, ultimately, nobody is perfect. We're all just human and everybody makes mistakes..."

Except, there was one person, and He doesn't just expect us to be perfect, He commands it. This can seem impossible, until we realize that perfection is not a prize to achieve - it's a promise to receive.

Is Happiness the End Goal?

It can be really easy to view happiness as the end goal for our everyday lives or... something that God takes away from us. It can feel like happiness and holiness are in opposition with each other, but they are not. Pastor Chris unpacks a message to help you to live the life that God has called you to, and you will find happiness in ways you don't often expect.

Am I Enough?

"You are enough!" We see this phrase around us everywhere. But between work, kids, bills, and relationships, you're stretched thin. And you "enough" is more like "barely getting by." What if the chase to be enough is only 'almost true?' Pastor Chris pushes back on culture with a message that may change your perspective in such a way that actually helps in your time of being stretched and feeling like you are not enough.
